More Than Made in Italy

"Made in Italy" has become a familiar phrase in fashion. But for us, it has always meant something far deeper than a country of origin.

It represents a way of working, something you'll notice not only in how they look, but in how they wear over time. One that values patience over speed, precision over volume, and craft over scale.

Every pair of Vianis is handcrafted in a small family workshop in Friuli, Italy, where 40 artisans continue a centuries-old tradition using the same techniques and attention to detail that first inspired us.

Nearly Three Centuries of Friulane

Second-to-none: That's how the artisans in our workshop describe the quality and craftsmanship behind every pair, and it's a statement we don't take lightly. For nearly three centuries, traditional Friulane have been crafted by hand in Northern Italy. Today, only three workshops remain where these authentic techniques are still preserved, and we're incredibly proud to work alongside one of them.

Every stitch, every material and every decision—from our signature velvet to the recycled bicycle tire sole—reflects that belief, creating shoes designed to be worn, loved and passed on for years to come.

Each Friulane requires over an hour to craft. Due to its entirely handmade nature and the unique hand-stitching techniques employed, no two pairs are ever identical. Those subtle differences aren't imperfections, but the visible mark of the artisan who made them.

For us, craftsmanship goes beyond nostalgia. It's about choosing to invest in the people, knowledge and techniques that give objects lasting meaning. It's believing the pieces we wear every day deserve the same care as the moments we wear them for.

Fashion will always evolve, but some ways of making deserve to endure. We hope these traditions continue to be preserved for generations to come.
