The Autumn Palette

Color has always been at the core of how we design, and autumn, if you really look at it, is not a neutral season. It is hazelnuts and olive trees, late afternoon light that turns everything amber, the deep navy of the sea once summer has left. These are colors that behave like neutrals, but carry more.

That is where The Autumn Palette began. Six styles you know and love, in colors that sit somewhere between the quiet and the bold, and work with almost everything you already own. Each shade was chosen with its material in mind, velvet, suede or leather, and to be genuinely easy to wear with what is already in your closet.

Take the Nocciola: light hazelnut brown velvet on our Double Mary Jane, with a warmth that keeps it from ever feeling flat. It brings everything together without competing with the rest of your look. With black, with denim, with a printed jacket. With socks or without. It is the pair you pack when you want to travel light.

Then, olive, on two of our signature styles. Not just any olive: a warm and lush Italian suede that sits between earthy neutrals and bolder shades, adding depth to everyday dressing while remaining endlessly versatile. On the Scarpa da Barca, our year-round favorite silhouette, it feels both familiar and new. On the Sanremo Corsa Sneaker, it takes a sportier turn, paired with warm mint leather and custom olive and white laces, a combination we’ve loved since we first introduced it in our velvet Friulane.

The Trieste is our take on the neutral that isn’t quite neutral. Deep navy suede, sea blue leather, and multicolored blue laces that add a playful Viani twist. Navy has always done the work of black, only softer. A forever staple, it works with almost anything in your wardrobe.

Terracotta orange velvet, somewhere between dark amber and burnt sienna, appears on two silhouettes this season. The Ambra brings back a highly requested color combination in our authentic Friulane, chosen to stand out against the browns and soft neutrals we naturally gravitate toward in autumn, while complementing them seamlessly. Wear it with deep browns or denim, or take it further with an unexpected color pairing. The Tamu brings the same hue to our classic Mary Jane, a Viani favorite returning in a shape that never goes out of style. A pop of color that dresses up or down and brings personality to any look.

As always, every pair is carefully handmade by the artisans of our workshop in Friuli, Italy, preserving authentic techniques passed down through generations and made to become heirloom pieces over time.
